I'm having a passionate affair!

With steamed vegetables.

They are an absolute delight. So easy to make, such beautiful colours, such fabulous flavour.

This is the perfect time of year for steamed vegetables. There is so much choice and everything is so fresh. Today for lunch I will have carrots, beans, asparagus (yummmm) and baby leeks, all sliced and steamed with nine little chicken and corn dim sim, served with a dipping sauce of chilli sauce and balsamic vinegar. An absolute taste sensation for just 4.5 points.

Steamed vegetables are my current top food passion. What is yours?

Mine are steamed dim sims from the chinese shop, chopped up and mixed through a great salad. For a dressing I use a tiny portion of sweet and sour sauce. Devine.

Would like the recipe for your dim sims if you have it available. Thanks.

I have a confession to make - I don't even know what a dim sim is, and I've certainly never tried one!! :-)

I wish I shared your obsession for steamed veges. They are one of the least appealing things at the moment.

My food passion is marmite on toast. Lol.

Those dim sims do sound good. And I love my steamed vegies too. I love steamed asian greens - just steam a bunch of asian greens and top with oyster sauce.

I must admit though, at the moment I'm loving cheese. I thought I could trust myself with some in the house. I was wrong *blush*

I love steamed vegies too. I adore steamed dim sims. I buy the frozen Marathon dim sims and steam them.

My passion at the moment is 4 tomatoes diced and simmered in a small saucepan with onion flakes, all spice, cajun spices, oregano, sprinkle of sugar, pepper and a small amount of sweet chilli sauce. I could eat it every day. I don't think I will ever buy tinned tomatoes again!
I am also "hooked" on Bulla low fat choc icecreams.

Isn't it fun delighting in simple, easy food. I was only thinking today that now I am being much more careful with what I eat I am enjoying meals so much more.

Can't rattle on like this to people who don't understand. Glad that you do!

Sue, that lunch sounds divine! I too am loving the endless selection of fresh spring vegetables at the moment.

I'm into yoghurt and fruit salad at the moment. Would eat it all day if I could.

Are your dim sims homemade? If so, would love the recipe!

Hope you have an excellent week :)

Yum yum yum. I have really been craving them lately, but I can't find my steamer. Ggrrr.
I don't have any particular favourite at the moment (being that whatever I can eat and not throw back up again is a bonus), but as we speak I have a hankering for a big bowl of fruit salad. Mmm.

No-one will believe this coming from me, but i'm just discovering fresh fruit. I've never been a fan before but i'm gradually trying new things and trying to be open minded.
I also adore steamed vegies, especially asparagus and anything in the asian greens range. (Not brussel sprouts though!!) LOL
Have a great day.
