Legless Day Six and some photos

Here's a photo of my boy today, on his 18th birthday, looking like he's auditioning for a part on Prison Break. He doesn't like to smile for photos.

And time for a new photo of me. Feel free to tell me I don't look old enough to have such a grown-up son!

Broke the rules a bit and went for a walk tonight. I just couldn't stand the guilt trips from the dog anymore, and it was such a lovely evening. I walked at a very moderate pace and only did about 4km, mostly on the flat. The knee feels pretty good, but I did give it an ice massage when I got home.

So far this week my exercise has been as planned, but my eating has been pretty bad. Just seem to be having a bit of a 'whatever' week. They happen every now and then and don't usually spell disaster.

OK OK you don't look old enough to have a son that age..... feel good now? I have daughters 27,26,24 and sons 23,19 & 17.... gunna cry now.....lol. Who cares how "old" we look, as long as we don't feel old, I CERTAINLY DON'T FEEL OLD, and I bet you don't either!

OMG your son is a nice looking man hun and what a proud mum you are!

I sooo think you look too young to have a son that is 18... I wish that I was as young looking when my boys turn 18.

What awesome photos Sue! The photo of you is stunning. And Jake sure does look like he'd be great in Prison Break! I'm sure he has girls falling all over him with those good looks!

Good to hear your knee is not giving you too much grief today. You constantly amaze me with how you battle through things!

You definitely do not look old enough to have a son that big and gorgeous.. but your eyes show enough warmth and happiness to give away 18 years of sheer joy and love for that boy. He's a lucky guy.

Omg, he looks so grown up. You definitely don't look old enough to be his mum. Do you try to get away with saying you gave birth at 6 years old? I try that one sometimes :)

Love your new photo Sue - and yep you do look too young to be his mum:)

He's entirely handsome and you look sophisticated. As to age, my son's going to be 30 in May. I still remember the saying,"Don't trust anyone over 30," when I was in my 20's. The number is irrelevant. Congratulations on getting rid of all that weight.

You DONT look old enough to have a an 18 year old son!!

You both look great.

PS I have to laugh everytime I read the latest titles of your posts, as I always associate being legless with blind falling down drunk, and I think, "OH Sue not another big night!" LOL Then I remember...

Ok, a few dot points on your recent posts because I'm too lazy to reply to every one indiviually (sorry).

* Yes, as I think I have mentioned before, you do look too young to have a grown up son. Clever girl.

* Sorry to hear about your knee. I really hope it turns out to be nothing too serious and that it heals quickly.

* THANK YOU for posting all about your alternative exercises. It was almost as if you had specifically written it for my benefit - I've hurt my knee this week too, and I, like you, tend to go nuts and push myself to my limits with exercise so that I can eat a little bit more. The fact that you're showing some restraint and finding other exercise to do means that there is NO REASON why I can't do it too. I'm not sure what (getting to the gym/pool with two littlies is nigh impossible) but I will have to find something. AND, you've inspired me not to eat any of the coffee cake that I just made for afternoon tea (don't worry, I licked the bowl so I didn't miss out completely). You're such a legend. Thanks for your posts.

* Finally, are you going to enter Slimmer Of The Year next year? I really think you should. You'd be a shoe in for sure.

Hope the knee is feeling better and you're having a rad weekend.
