New experiences

I got to meet Emily last night, which was just lovely. We talked lots and had a couple of drinks and a meal before I had to be a geek and go back to work. She is an open, friendly woman and I consider it one of the great side-effects of blogging that I got to meet her.

These blogger meetings are a slightly surreal experience. We're meeting people we know lots of information about, but don't actually know at all. It's almost like the character in a novel coming to life.

Of course, there's very little chance any of you lovely bloggers would turn out to be complete tossers or axe-murders, but you never know!

Well i think you got one of the tossers out of the woodwork with anon's comment above!

It is weird meeting in RL but definitely makes a difference to put faces to words.

Yeah, it's really bizarre! I'm so glad a bunch of us do get out there and meet each other because it gives another element to the friendships we have established online. Some of us have been reading eachother's blogs for over a year now! Enjoy your week hon...

I know what you mean - it's completely bizarre and surreal because you feel like this person is a friend because you know so much about them, and yet you've never met them! You're right, it's like meeting a character in a novel, because you only get to know these people through words!!

I'm glad you share my opinion that Emily rocks!!

Hope you have a great week xx

Yes, I agree - Emily is gorgeous!!

And I too wonder about some of the bloggers out there, especially the ones whose names begin with 'anon' :-)

It it strange meeting a blogger first the first time - you feel you know them so well and it really is like meeting a book character.

LOL at Anon - they cared enough to leave a comment.
