Catching up with myself

The busy-ness of this week has rather taken me by surprise. One of my guys is off on parental leave and I've just realised how much work he gets through! And I thought I was the only machine around here...

Mark and I had both taken the day off tomorrow (Friday) so we could drive to Hawkes Bay for the Eric Clapton concert on Saturday night. But now I have to do a day trip to Auckland, so I'll fly back to Napier and Mark will pick me up from there. All very well, but the plane from Auckland to Napier is a 50-seater - and you may have noticed how much I hate flying. Hopefully I can get to the airport a bit early and throw down a few large gins before I have to board!

25 January summary
Breakfast: rolled oats with apple juice and grapes
Lunch: ham and roast vege salad
Dinner: steamed dimsim and gyoza
Snacks: three trim flat whites, some mini capsicum, beansprouts
Extras: tequila and grapefruit juice
Exercise: 20 minutes cross trainer, core workout

My you do get around.... hope you enjoy the concert in Hawkes Bay. Small planes give me the shits, I would drink if I was you!

Is this the concert know as the Mission concert - our friends from Auckland usually go every year. Have a great time and the small plane sounds like a good reason for a couple of gins!

Sounds like a great weekend!

I've just discovered your blog by the way and am very impressed by your achievements. Reading the food summaries look interesting, too. I started attending WW meetings about 20 weeks ago and have lost 15kg - 10 more to go, so I find your blog very inspirational and exciting.

I was reading about your "detox" week and about the lack of protein - have you tried beans/lentils? I rediscovered them after a long absence from my shopping trolley...

All the best,
Jxxnx

I never knew you didn't like flying and in your job that's a pretty bad fear to have with all the travelling you do.

Have a FABULOUS time at the Mission concert - drink and be merry!!!

By the way, I didn't get a chance to tell you how gorgeous you looked on Monday.
Did you buy anything at Westfields?

I love flying, but don't get to do it much. Hope you survive, i'm sure the gins will help. Have a great time at the concert.

Hope the gins did the trick.... if not, be sure to visit lots of vineyards on arrival to help with the 'sea-legs'.

Have a great weekend.
