I had a lovely chat to Jake on the phone last night. He sent me a text about 2am (!!!), so I called him then.
The amazing thing is, this is the first time I've talked to him since a couple of days after he got there at the end of April. I don't know why I've never rung him - I think to start with I was trying to give him space and he was travelling, so I just fell into the email habit.
The pub he's working in is near Twickenham - something he discovered when he got lost while out running and found the stadium. And he's starting to make plans to go to varsity in Christchurch next year to do a commerce degree. At least the South Island is closer than England!
I'll certainly be ringing him more often now.
Eating was good again yesterday. Didn't go for a walk, but hadn't planned to every day this week anyway.

Wow, that's a long time to not have spoken to him, it must have been lovely to hear his voice. And neat that he is coming back fairly soon... well in a few months.
So great that he has decided to study in NZ. At least you will be closer to him. Our little boys are always our little boys no matter how grown up they are.
If he's planning on uni next year that's good a sign. Maybe he will be home for christmas .
The days are slowly starting to get a bit longer up here, I'm sure it's the same in Wellington. Daylight savings will be here in another couple of months so then we will all be able to go walking and not freeze our bums off.
Fabulous that he is coming home, maybe he'll play Rugby down here...Cantry Uni is a fine University, he'll love it and the socialising that goes with it..

Dawn was asking after you yesterday...we had a girls day shopping was neat, mind u some how I got the blame again for how much she spent hehehehe(she looked awesome in her size 14 and 16 skirts)
Good to see u are back into the healthy living the scales dont measure all the acheivements so they are up a bit but your life has had a few things to handle of late and now u have them leveled out you are taking controll again good for you
